Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Online Gaming GM's Dream

Following a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned for a limited time available through early December. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous additional tools and content enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, dungeons, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section.
